Renewal of Lu Xun's Hometown Historical and Cultural Block

ZUP

Urban Planning and Urban Design Renewal of Lu Xun's Hometown Historical and Cultural Block by ZUP Lu Xun, known as Mark Twain of China, was a great humanitarian writer advocating intellectual liberation and spiritual freedom. The renewal of his hometown not only refines the design of spaces but also cares about the interests of multiple groups, ensures social equity, and preserves the local lifestyle. The design is inspired by the texture of traditional Chinese waterfront towns and cities. It restores the traditional scenes by restoring waterways for black awning boats, historical streets and alleys, bridges, and old names of places.
